By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

At Kin, we offer a range of wellbeing services designed to support your holistic health journey. However, it's crucial to understand that our services are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

The information and services provided by Kin are for educational and general wellness purposes only. Our practitioners are not medical doctors, and we do not provide medical services. Always consult with your primary healthcare physician or another qualified health provider regarding any medical conditions, health concerns, or before starting any new health regimen. If you have a medical emergency, please call 111 immediately.

Your health and safety are paramount. We encourage you to discuss any health issues with your doctor before participating in our services to ensure they are appropriate for your individual needs.

 

Our Wellbeing Policy

 

To maintain a healthy and safe environment for everyone at Kin, we have a strict wellbeing policy:

  • If you are sick, you must stay home. This includes, but is not limited to, experiencing symptoms of infectious respiratory (e.g., cough, sore throat, runny nose, fever) or gastrointestinal (e.g., nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea) illness.

  • If you are caring for household members who are experiencing symptoms of infectious respiratory or gastrointestinal illness, please also stay home.

  • In these circumstances, we require you to reschedule your appointment. Please contact us as soon as possible to do so. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep the Kin Wellness Studio a safe and healthy space for our entire community.

 

Appointments, Cancellations, and No-Shows

We understand that sometimes you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Our policy is designed to be fair to both client and practitioner, whose time, skill, and preparation are reserved specifically for your session.

Kin requires at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations.

  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a fee. 

  • No-shows will incur a full session fee.

  • How to Cancel/Reschedule: Please notify us by phone or through our online booking system to cancel or reschedule your appointment. 

  • Late Arrival: Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session to avoid impacting subsequent appointments.

Privacy Policy

 

Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our separate Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

 

Limitation of Liability

 

Kin and its practitioners will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our services, or for the cost of procurement of substitute services.

 

Governing Law

 

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

 

Changes to Terms

 

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.

By continuing to use our website and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Refund Policy

At Kin Wellness Studio, we are committed to providing high-quality services and a positive experience for all our clients. Our refund policy is designed to be fair and transparent, while also aligning with New Zealand consumer law.

Our Commitment to Service Quality

Under the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA), services must be:

  • Carried out with reasonable care and skill.

  • Fit for the particular purpose they were supplied.

  • Completed within a reasonable time (if no time was agreed).

  • A reasonable price (if no price was agreed in advance).

If you believe a service provided by Kin has not met these guarantees, please contact us immediately to discuss your concerns. We are committed to resolving any issues promptly and fairly.

Cancellations by the Client

We understand that sometimes you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Our policy is designed to be fair to both client and practitioner, whose time, skill, and preparation are reserved specifically for your session.

  • 48 hours' notice: For cancellations made with at least 48 hours' notice prior to your scheduled session, we will gladly allow you to reschedule without penalty / apply a full credit to your next session.

  • Less than 48 hours' notice / No-Shows: Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, or failure to attend a scheduled session (no-show), will result in either a fee or no refund.

  • This policy is in place because when you book a session, your practitioner has dedicated that specific time, resources, and prepared exclusively for you. Late cancellations or no-shows mean this valuable time, skill, and the opportunity to serve another client are lost.

Cancellations by Kin Wellness Studio

In the unlikely event that Kin needs to cancel a session (e.g., due to unforeseen circumstances, practitioner illness, or studio closure), you will be offered the choice of:

  • A full refund for the cancelled session.

  • Rescheduling your session to a mutually convenient time.

  • Applying a full credit for the session to your next Kin session.

Refund Eligibility - General Provisions
  • Change of Mind: We do not offer refunds if you simply change your mind about a session or service once it has been purchased or delivered, beyond the specified cancellation period. However, we may, at our discretion, offer a credit or allow you to transfer your session to another person.

  • Medical Reasons (outside policy): If you need to cancel due to a sudden medical emergency outside of our standard cancellation policy, please contact us. While standard policy applies, we may consider individual circumstances on a case-by-case basis, and a credit or alternative arrangement might be offered at our discretion. A medical certificate may be requested.

  • Packages and Memberships:

    • Unused Sessions in a Package: Sessions purchased as part of a package typically have an expiry date. Unused sessions within the expiry period are non-refundable.

    • Memberships: Membership fees are typically non-refundable once paid. Details regarding membership cancellation (e.g., notice periods for recurring payments) are outlined in your membership agreement. Please refer to the specific terms and conditions provided at the time of purchase for any packages or memberships.
