About
Kin is a small, home-based wellness studio in West Auckland.
A beautifully appointed cabin space, designed for healing, rest, and calm retreat.

The story of Kin.
Kin is a space for women to feed their wellbeing.
Whether you're deepening an existing self-care practice or ready to build one, Kin offers a grounded, nurturing approach to looking and feeling your best - naturally, and for the long term.
From face yoga and massage to Reiki, sauna, and tea sessions, each offering is designed to deliver real, visible results while supporting the whole of you.
Sessions are available in person at my West Auckland cabin studio, and online -
through private appointments, group classes, and seasonal workshops.

Behind Kin.
Kia ora,
I'm Rebecca - founder of Kin, and someone who has spent the better part of two decades on a quest to discover what it
takes to feel well in our modern world.
The answer, I've found, is rarely one thing. It lives in the layers - the fascia, the nervous system, our daily habits, and the stories & experiences we carry without realising.
My work sits at the intersection of all of these.
I am a teacher-practitioner of Face Yoga, Reiki, and The Face Core Method ® - a five-pillar system addressing the root drivers of visible facial changes. I am particularly passionate about studying and working with the fascia: 'the fluid highway' underneath our skin, encapsulating and connecting everything.
I integrate Fascial Unwinding into most of my treatments as tension and pulling in one part of the body tends to create dysfunction or pain elsewhere. By softening into the main fascial chains, we create possibility for very effective change.
My work is based on more than 15 years of training, alongside a lifelong sensitivity to what sits beneath the surface. A client once told me, "You see what others don't see."
Over time, I have learned to trust my sensing abilities and 'listening hands', allowing these skills to work alongside my studies in technique and anatomy & physiology.
I have a hunger for knowledge in both scientific understanding and grounding, old-world traditions that don't involve an internet connection.
My hope is to bring you the best from both worlds, integrated into nourishing treatments that help you feel better to the core.
I've created the Kin Cabin studio to be a soft and welcoming place.
Constructed entirely from Nordic spruce wood, complete with natural linens & fibres, low-tox paint, free from a modem or built-in electricity - it is a deeply peaceful space intentionally created for healing. The cabin is surrounded by my beautiful garden path and an outdoor 'shower nook' filled with native ground cover, ferns, kawa kawa, horopito, sage, Mexican marigold and a growing team of medicinal herbs (if faeries exist, I like to think they're hanging out in my garden).
You don't need to arrive put-together. Pyjama pants and a three-day ponytail are more than welcome. I understand intimately what it is like to be depleted on all levels.
There is no judgement here - only compassion and care.
Outside the studio you'll find me gardening with my dog, spending time with my partner & whānau, studying, or thrifting for treasures with my daughter - most likely drinking tea.
